Who we are

GridWash Utility is a family-owned exterior cleaning business operating in Horry County, South Carolina. We are licensed, bonded and insured. You can reach us on (843) 653-8228 or at gridwashutility@gmail.com.

Estimates and prices

• The figure our online calculator gives you is an estimate, not a quote.
• We confirm your price in person before any work begins. It rarely moves from the estimate. When it does, it is because the property is significantly larger, or in significantly worse condition, than the details entered.
• You are told the final price before we start, and you are free to decline at that point with nothing owed.
• Nothing is owed when you book. Payment is due once the work is done, unless you are paying monthly.

Paying across twelve months

• Any wash may be paid in twelve monthly payments instead of a single payment.
• There is no interest, no fee and no credit check. Twelve payments add up to exactly the price you were quoted and no more.
• This is a payment schedule for work we have done. It is not a loan, not a credit product and not a membership.
• Nothing is reported to any credit bureau in either direction.
• When the twelve payments are complete, the arrangement ends. Nothing renews and nothing continues to charge.

Staying on the schedule

If you ask us to keep coming back, we add your property to our schedule and contact you when a visit is due.

• There is no sign-up fee, no monthly charge and no minimum number of visits.
• You pay for each visit when it happens, at the rate you were last quoted.
• Your rate is held for as long as you remain on the schedule. If you come off it and later come back, current pricing applies.
• We contact you before every visit to confirm the date. We do not turn up unannounced and we do not charge for a visit you did not agree to.
• You may come off the schedule at any time, for any reason, by telling us. Nothing is owed for doing so.
• This is not a contract and there is no fixed term.

Our price-beat guarantee

We will beat a competitor's written quote by 20%. To qualify:

• The quote must be in writing from a licensed and insured business operating in Horry County.
• It must cover the same scope of work on the same property.
• It must be dated within the last 30 days.
• It must be shown to us before we begin work.

The guarantee does not apply to quotes we cannot verify, to work outside our service area, or to a price that would fall below our own cost of materials.

Scheduling and weather

• Rain, high wind and freezing temperatures mean we reschedule. We will contact you to set a new date and your price does not change.
• If you need to move an appointment, let us know as early as you can and we will find another slot.

Access and preparation

So we can do the job properly and safely, we ask that on the day you:

• Close all windows and doors, and any storm windows.
• Move vehicles, patio furniture, grills and potted plants clear of the areas being cleaned.
• Make sure we can reach an outdoor water spigot and get to all sides of the property.
• Keep children and pets indoors while we are working.

We protect landscaping before we start, keep it wet while we work, and rinse it down when we are finished.

What we are and are not responsible for

We carry liability insurance and we stand behind our work. If we damage something, tell us and we will put it right.

We cannot be held responsible for damage arising from pre-existing conditions that were not visible or disclosed before work began. That includes failed or missing caulk and sealant, damaged or rotten siding and trim, loose or broken shingles, windows and doors that do not seal, improperly installed materials, and existing leaks. Where we can see a problem before starting, we will point it out and talk it through with you.

Some staining is permanent. Oxidation, rust, artillery fungus, paint failure and deep-set concrete stains may not fully lift. We will tell you what we expect to achieve before we begin rather than after.

Satisfaction

If something is not right, contact us within seven days of the work and we will come back and address it at no charge.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version published here at the time you book is the version that applies to your work.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina.
